On September 8 - Friends of Dottie Jordan Park held it's first workday to prepare for our new walking trail granted by Steps to a Healthier Austin. What a success! Thank you to all 35 volunteers, PARD, Steps to a Healthier Austin, Keep Austin Beautiful, and to the University Hills Neighborhood Association.

After a successful cleanup, we were all invited to enjoy a lunch sponsored by University Hills Association. Thank you UHNA!
As a team, we were able to clear away the underbrush from alongside the creek as well as some large trash items. This ongoing effort is going to make a huge difference in the enjoyability of our new walking trail granted by Steps to a Healthier Austin! As well, we are creating an improved greenspace for many generations to come. Thank you all!

Friends of Dottie Jordan Park is a collaborative effort between volunteers interested in our community, The University Hills Neighborhood Association, local organizations, and the Parks and Recreation Department (PARD). Our common goal is the preservation and improvement of Dottie Jordan Park. Friends of Dottie Jordan Park provides a platform to discuss and implement improvements.
Friends of Dottie Jordan Park workdays are planned on a regular basis and are dog and kid friendly events!
We are currently planning our October workday. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones as we work toward the rejuvenation of our community park!
